Job Summary
Provide age-appropriate patient care across musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary systems by implementing therapeutic interventions such as gait training, modalities, and transfer exercises. Collaborate with supervising Physical Therapists to review medical records, progress treatments based on evaluations, and document changes in patient condition or adverse responses. Monitor patient responses to treatment, support discharge planning with home programs and equipment administration, and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment while ensuring equipment is properly stored and maintained. This role serves as a regional float across multiple outpatient clinics in the northern Greater Charlotte market, requiring 40 hours per week with a pay range of $26.55 to $39.85. Candidates must hold an active Physical Therapist Assistant license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state(s) of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Intermediate computer proficiency
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, decision‐making, and problem‐solving skills
- Ability to perform basic office functions
- Compliance with HIPAA requirements and appropriate handling of protected health information
- Completion of all required competency assessments related to patient care and site standards
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday
- Ability to lift: Up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist
- Up to 10 lbs. from waist to overhead
- Carry up to 40 lbs. at waist height for reasonable distances
- Ability to push/pull up to 30 lbs. of force
- Ability to assist with patient transfers with a second person present or appropriate equipment
- Functional sensory abilities for effective communication and demonstration of activities
- Ability to wear PPE as required
- Ability to travel
- Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform job duties
