Job Summary
Physical Therapy Assistant responsibilities include administering physical therapy modalities under the supervision of a staff physical therapist, assisting with restoration of patient function, and contributing to department CQI and infection control programs. Must observe and evaluate treatment effects, assist with patient assessments across age groups (neonate to geriatric), contribute to teaching plans, ensure patient and family education, manage and operate equipment safely, maintain department records, and collaborate with physicians and other departments to meet patient care needs. Requires Kentucky PTA licensure and an associated degree; prior geriatric experience is preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, professional communication, safety, and compliance with department policies while supporting performance improvement activities.

- Licensed by State of Kentucky as a Physical Therapy Assistant
