Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education for home health clients while strictly adhering to the supervising PT's established plan of care. Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on active and passive exercises, gait training, ADLs, transfers, and prosthetic use. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and physician. Coordinate care with the broader healthcare team and perform procedures within your qualified scope. Maintain a current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and be available for weekend rotations. Requires state licensure to assist in physical therapy practice.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
