Job Summary
Provide in-home patient visits under the direction of a Physical Therapist to deliver a full range of PTA services, including instructing and aiding patients in active and passive exercises, gait training, functional activities of daily living, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising provider; educate patients and families on participation and rehabilitation strategies. Must maintain licensure as a PTA, CPR/BLS/First Aid certification, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to travel to patient homes. Requires one year of professional PTA experience in home health or a similar setting and a commitment to patient-centric, compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state associated with the position
- Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification
- Valid state-issued driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; willingness to travel
- One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Physical Therapist (PT) in a home health or similar setting
