Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy services under the direction of the physical therapist and according to the physician's plan of care. Responsibilities include providing direct physical therapy, aiding patients in therapeutic exercises, utilizing physical agents for treatment, observing and reporting patient reactions, instructing patients on care and use of devices, maintaining clinical records, and participating in team meetings and education programs. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited program and hold the relevant certification or license as required by state law.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Current certification or license as required by state law
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification
- Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization requirements
