Physical Therapy Assistant - Home Health

The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide physical therapy services under the direction of a physical therapist and according to the physician’s plan of care. Responsibilities include treating patients to relieve pain and restore or maintain function, directing and aiding patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training, and prosthetic training; utilizing physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage; observing patient responses and reporting changes; instructing patients in care and use of mobility devices; maintaining clinical records and participating in team meetings and in-service education. Must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate’s degree and hold current state certification or license as required. Location: Ashtabula, OH (1100 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, OH 44004).
