Job Summary
Deliver direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in a home-health setting. Provide hands-on PTA care including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and activities of daily living, while utilizing modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices; monitor progress and document in the EMR; collaborate with therapists, nurses, and care teams to ensure coordinated care; participate in case conferences and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program
- Current PTA license or certification as required by state law
- 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus)
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
