Job Summary
Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing while providing skilled services under Physical Therapist supervision. Implement and modify patients' physical therapy plans of care, measure motor function and strength, and monitor response to interventions to modify approaches as clinically appropriate. Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist, provide clinical support and education to patients and caregivers, and ensure thorough documentation in compliance with regulations. Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab. Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license required; SNF experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
- Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
- Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
