Job Summary
Provide various methods of Physical Therapy according to patient treatment plans under the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services and Physical Therapist. Serve as a resource person for Physical Therapists, Assistants, and Aides. Treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric while adhering to regulations, QA, and procedures. Maintain eligibility or hold a license from the Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners and complete required department-specific training. This role supports OakBend Medical Center's commitment to exceptional, compassionate care at three hospitals and specialty centers, including their signature No Wait ER and advanced trauma center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Basic Life Support certification
- Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care
- Successful completion department specific and/or hospital required training courses
- Must be able to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric
