Job Summary
Provide medically prescribed physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, and quality of life for residents. Administer PT interventions, implement and modify plans of care, measure motor function and muscle performance, respond to service requests, and ensure timely documentation in accordance with policies and regulations. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients, families, and caregivers, and attend required meetings. Requires active Texas PTA license and good standing; SNF/long-term care experience preferred; familiarity with PT treatment practices and electronic documentation systems is beneficial. Required Qualifications
- Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
- Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
