Job Summary
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is a full-time, in-house role providing person-centered care to residents to improve mobility, strength, and quality of life. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments, relay information to the PT, implement and modify plans of care, measure motor function and strength, monitor patient responses, provide education to patients and families, ensure timely documentation in accordance with policies and regulations, and participate in interdisciplinary team activities. Requires an active Texas PTA license and willingness to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility/long-term care setting; offers competitive compensation and benefits, flexible schedules, and 401(k) eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
- In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Experience with physical therapy treatment practices
- Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
