Physical Therapy Assistant

Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist in a skill nursing/rehabilitation setting. Duties include administering manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices; assesses patient progress and communicates with supervising PT to adjust treatments; provides counseling to patients and families; documents regulatory and clinical information in electronic records; participates in discharge planning. New grads welcome; PRN schedule with potential set schedules when covering vacations; in-house therapy team with a focus on infection control; benefits eligibility for some positions.
