Physical Therapy Assistant

Administer physical therapy procedures including electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, traction, therapeutic exercise, and functional activities in the office, home, or nursing home. Conduct patient education on home programs, assist with transfers and ambulation training, and perform muscle strength and joint measurements to determine treatment objectives. Document patient progress, report significant condition changes to the physical therapist, and modify treatment plans as needed. Works under the direction of licensed physical therapists with an Associate Degree and PT license.
