Job Summary
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) needed for home health in Northern Nevada (Reno, Sparks, Carson City area). Implement individualized physical therapy care plans under a licensed PT, guide patients through prescribed exercise programs to improve strength, ROM, and mobility, assist with gait training using walkers/crutches/braces, apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, massage), monitor/document patient progress for PT review, educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, maintain sterile procedures and equipment, participate in QA and in-service training, and travel to patient homes. Requires current PTA license, CAPTE-approved PTA program graduation, CPR certification, ability to lift/transfers (150+ lbs), strong communication skills, background check, and reliable transportation. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of practice
- Graduate of CAPTE-approved PTA program
- Minimum 2 years of PTA experience (home health preferred)
- CPR certification
