Physical Therapy Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides skilled PTA services in patients' homes under the Physical Therapist's plan of care, documents all aspects of treatment per Medicare/Federal guidelines, and communicates with physicians, therapists, and coworkers. Responsibilities include observing patient status and progress, performing PT procedures to relieve pain and restore function, educating patients and families on therapy techniques and safety, coordinating case conferences, recommending/adjusting devices as needed, ensuring proper chart documentation within agency and regulatory requirements, and maintaining travel to patient locations.
