Job Summary
Provides rehabilitation therapy procedures to patients under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist; assists with patient and caregiver education. Requires an Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program and state licensure, with BLS certification eligible/obtained within 90 days. Part-time daytime position at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, in the Rehab Resource Pool with a 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. schedule and Monday–Friday days with variable weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- LIC-Physical Therapist Assistant - STATE_MI
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC) within 90 days of hire
- Driver's License - STATE_MI
- Ability to work in acute care rehab setting
- Strong patient and caregiver education skills
- Prior PT assistant experience in acute care preferred
