Job Summary
Conduct home care physical therapy treatments, including instructing patients on active and passive exercises, gait training, and ADL transfers. Observe patient responses to treatment, record progress, and report changes in condition to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team and make recommendations for plan of care adjustments as defined by the supervising PT. Perform only procedures within your qualified scope while adhering to state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care. Available to work a weekend rotation with a target annual pay of $55,329 to $82,993. Requires a current PT assistant license, driver's license, and vehicle access.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- Ability to pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to complete CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility
