Job Summary
Conduct treatment, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education to improve well-being while following the established plan of care. Observe, record, and report patient responses to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and physician. Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within scope, including active/passive exercises, gait training, and ADL transfers. Coordinate care with the healthcare team and adhere to state-specific laws governing home care physical therapy. Work a weekend rotation in any home situation, maintaining a current license, driver's license, and vehicle access.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- Ability to pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to complete CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility
