Job Summary
Physical Therapy Assistant position at Salinas Valley Health (Salinas, CA) under Physical Therapy Supervisor and Director of Rehabilitation Services. Administer and document prescribed PT interventions, schedule and record treatments, supervise PT Aides during co-treatments, and provide instruction to patients, families, and hospital staff. Ensure age-appropriate care, contribute to efficient patient return to independence, orient new employees and volunteers, evaluate therapy students, maintain high-quality patient care, and adhere to safety standards while meeting department objectives. Requires California PTA certification and current BLS, with two years’ PT experience (one year in acute care). Full-time, day shift, 1.0 FTE, 40 scheduled hours.
Required Qualifications
- California Physical Therapy Assistant certification
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association
- Two years' experience in Physical Therapy setting, one year in acute care
