Job Summary
Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises; Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas; Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment; Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records; Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory; Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation; Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration; Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures; Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations; Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols
- Experience with electronic health records systems preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
