Job Summary
Assist Physical Therapists and assistants with physical therapy treatments, patient transfers, and therapeutic exercise programs. Prepare member charts, register new patients, and manage clerical duties including phone communications with insurance providers. Monitor gym, pool, and treatment areas; ensure member sign-in compliance; and maintain and clean medical equipment, therapy pools, and treatment rooms. Transport patients between areas, fit walking devices, and manage linen collection. Document progress notes, submit supply requests, and report safety incidents or near misses. Adhere to organizational policies, infection control protocols, and chain of command procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Education level equivalent to completion of four years of high school
- Ability to count, speak, and comprehend the English language
- CPR/AED Certification
- Ability to think and work effectively with frequent interruptions
- Ability to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout the work day
- Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Sight/hearing senses or use of prosthetics that will enable the applicant to adequately fulfill the requirements of this position
- Use of mechanical and technical equipment
- Ability to perform essential position responsibilities unaided or with assistance of a reasonable accommodation
