Job Summary
Greet arriving patients and assist physical therapists and assistants during treatment sessions. Prepare patients for therapy by managing supportive devices, administer routine treatments like hot/cold packs and ultrasound, and supervise patients practicing exercises under professional direction. Safeguard patient safety while maintaining work areas, cleaning equipment, and managing linen storage. Support the Patient Experience Coordinator with phone answering, appointment scheduling, charting, and inventory tracking. Maintain restrooms and stock supplies as needed. This part-time role offers bi-annual pay increases, commuter benefits, and a 401(k) match, with a salary range of $15–$20/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to clearly document all projects and manage production
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds
- Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate and or intern preferred
- Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills-written and verbal
- Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred
- Energetic and a team player
- Able to demonstrate compassion toward patients
- Complete tasks thoroughly
