Job Summary
Plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help patients recover mobility, relieve pain, and increase strength while preventing deformities. Document evaluation information for patients and residents, analyze therapeutic progress to recommend necessary adjustments, and educate families on self-exercises for home continuation. Demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements while following safety procedures. Lift and transfer patients as needed during daily treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
- Valid driver's license (when applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
- Must be able to lift and transfer patient/resident.
- Must be available to be on your feet every day.
- Must obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific competencies and certifications.
- Must follow guidelines, regulations, standards and safety procedures in the therapy process.
- Must be able to handle being on your feet every day.
