Job Summary
Evaluate and assess patients' abilities and limitations regarding neurological, burn/wound, musculoskeletal injuries, or acute/chronic disabilities. Establish treatment plans and goals based on functional skills, joint mobility, gait, strength, tone, coordination, sensation, and other measures to ensure rapid recovery. Implement therapy using appropriate procedures, equipment, and techniques within the scope of practice while educating patients and caregivers on findings, home programs, and injury prevention. Demonstrate proficiency in physical therapy modalities. Requires Iowa licensure, APTA-accredited degree, BCLS certification, and ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Iowa
- Graduate of an APTA accredited college or university with a certificate, masters degree, or doctorate in physical therapy
- Current BCLS certification
- Basic knowledge of computer skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations professionally
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapid changing and regulatory environment
