Job Summary
Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans, review physician referrals and medical records to determine required physical therapy treatment, and provide direct patient care by established protocols. Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, and discharge summaries. Complete written plans of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and implement essential physical therapy treatments while supervising assistants and rehabilitation technicians. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current state South Carolina license
- CPR certification
- Exercise, sports rehab, and manual-based skills
