Job Summary
Administer and interpret clinical physical therapy services for hospitalized patients, adjusting treatments based on individual response to protocols. Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop treatment plans, and establish functional goals while providing ongoing reassessment throughout the inpatient stay. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning and optimize transitions of care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Provide patient and family education, participate in care conferences, and manage durable medical equipment referrals. Direct physical therapist assistants, students, and volunteers while pursuing professional development and meeting departmental productivity targets.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
- Applicable degree in physical therapy study with Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Equivalent to the above (Bachelor's or Master's Degree)
- Current license as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York
- Eligibility to be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York
- CPR certification within the first 3 months of hire
