Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize various therapeutic techniques and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and function while monitoring and documenting progress. Educate patients and families on proper techniques for continued improvement and injury prevention. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and stay current with field advancements. Work Monday through Friday with weekend rotation in a 110-bed skilled nursing facility providing post-hospital rehabilitation and long-term care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
