Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, then develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using various techniques and modalities, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices, while monitoring and documenting patients' progress to adjust plans as needed. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to improve their mobility and function, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in regards to patient care and confidentiality, and participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a rehabilitation facility
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to patient care
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records systems
