Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations, then develop individualized treatment plans based on specific needs and goals. Implement and monitor these plans while making adjustments for optimal progress, and educate patients and families on exercises to improve mobility and strength. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and maintain accurate patient records. Stay current with advancements in physical therapy through continuing education. This role requires a current state license, CPR certification, and at least two years of clinical experience, with a schedule of 35 hours per week including weekend rotations at our 113-bed hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or acute care facility
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Willingness to work weekends and rotate through weekend shifts
- CPR certification
