Job Summary
Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through detailed evaluations, then develop individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals. Implement therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to improve mobility and strength, while educating patients and families on exercises and lifestyle changes to support recovery. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive care approach. Provide guidance and supervision to physical therapy assistants and aides as required, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress notes while staying updated with the latest physical therapy techniques and research.
Required Qualifications
- Active SD state PT License
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
- BLS (AHA preferred or client specific)
- Must be able to successfully pass a background and character investigation in compliance with pl 101-630
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must be able to handle frequent interruptions
- Must multi-task
- Must interact with a wide variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues
- Must be able to read
- Must have distance vision
- Must have computer vision
- Must have color vision
- Must be able to talk
- Must be able to hear
