Job Summary
Conduct outpatient physical therapy services to help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions. Evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and document using clinic-approved formats. Perform safe patient handling while adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Maintain an active Virginia state PT license and uphold professional codes of conduct throughout the 13-week assignment. Complete a 5x8 shift pattern in Burke, VA, with BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Virginia state PT license
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Outpatient clinic experience
- Experience evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and documenting using clinic-approved formats
- Ability to perform safe patient handling and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to uphold professional codes of conduct and maintain required continuing education per state practice act
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising students and providing clinical education
