Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct outpatient physical therapy for 7–8 patients daily, managing caseloads in clinic settings with possible coverage for small med/surg units and same-day surgery. Maintain active Virginia state licensure and provide BLS/CPR certification, while adhering to a Monday through Friday day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Accept occasional on-call rotation approximately every fourth weekend for inpatient coverage and float to other facility units as needed. This 13-week travel assignment in Franklin, VA, offers access to outdoor recreation and coastal amenities while supporting patient recovery from injuries and chronic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active State Physical Therapist license required prior to the start of the assignment
- Virginia license required for work in VA
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or ARC required and must be current
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy required
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload averaging 7–8 patients per day
- Willingness to provide occasional on-call coverage

- Orientation availability: can start any week per facility orientation calendar
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with coverage of inpatient med/surg units and same-day surgery (total knees) preferred
- Advanced certifications such as OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, or Women's Health
