Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist role in an outpatient clinic in East Hartford, CT. You will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating orthopedic/musculoskeletal diagnoses, writing functional goals, documenting per regulatory and payer guidelines, providing patient education and discharge planning, and potentially supervising therapy assistants. Requires a PT degree (Bachelor's/Master's/Doctoral), a Connecticut license, and BLS certification if required. Schedule is 5x8 with a 13-week assignment; comprehensive benefits available and recruiters will provide credentialing support and onboarding details.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Connecticut state license in Physical Therapy
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Outpatient clinic experience required
- Clinical experience evaluating and treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal diagnoses preferred
- Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, writing functional goals, and documenting in compliance with regulatory and payer guidelines
- Experience with patient education and discharge planning preferred
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or delegate therapy assistants or support staff preferred
