Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct outpatient physical therapy for approximately eight patients daily, managing recovery from injuries and chronic conditions in a hospital setting. Perform required documentation including assessments, evaluations, discharge planning, and plans of care. Maintain proficiency with common equipment such as gait belts, walkers, crutches, and Hoyer lifts while assessing body mechanics and pain levels. Requires an active Missouri license, one year of clinical experience, and familiarity with geriatrics and orthopedics populations. Shifts run 5x8 hours from 08:00 to 16:30; first-time travelers are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Missouri physical therapy license
- Minimum 1 year of clinical physical therapy experience
- Documentation experience: Assessment, Evaluation, Discharge, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Short- and Long-Term Goals
- Experience working primarily in outpatient settings
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of experience
- Experience working in acute care and skilled nursing facilities
- Familiarity with common equipment and devices: gait belt, standard and rolling walkers, crutches, Hoyer lift, hospital bed, sit-to-stand lift, sliding boards, shoulder slings, supplemental oxygen, traction table, prosthetic devices
- Assessment skills: body mechanics, pain assessment, strength testing, vital signs
- Geriatrics and orthopedics patient population experience
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Previous charge experience
- First-time travelers not accepted
