Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct outpatient physical therapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, and manual techniques to help patients recover function and manage chronic conditions. Provide comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized Plans of Care per APTA standards, and adjust treatment based on patient progress. Document patient progress, maintain compliance with certifications and facility procedures, and support discharge planning with home exercise programs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and assist other department teams as needed. Requires a valid Illinois license, 1+ year experience, and AHA BLS certification. 40-hour guarantee, 08:00–16:30 shifts, no weekends. Permanent residents within 50 miles of Effingham, IL only.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
- Outpatient physical therapy experience
- Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA)
- Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to Physical Therapy
- Two supervisory reference forms completed with dates employed listed
- Candidates with a permanent address within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising physical therapy assistants
- Experience with a wide range of physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic modalities
