Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist needed for skilled nursing facility assignments within roughly a one-hour radius of Alpena, MI. Responsibilities include helping patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions, using EMR Home Care Home Base, providing occasional weekend coverage, and traveling between patient locations while maintaining Michigan licensure and BLS as required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience in skilled nursing facility settings preferred
- Mileage reimbursement follows IRS standard mileage rate; reliable vehicle required for travel between patient locations
- Weekend coverage: ability to work approximately one weekend per month, as needed (may not be necessary)
- Home health experience is preferred but candidates new to the setting will be considered
