Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist needed for a 13-week travel assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Somerset, NJ. Responsibilities include helping geriatric post-acute patients recover and manage conditions through mobility work, balance training, therapeutic exercises, and fall risk assessments, with documentation aligned to post-acute care standards. Requires PT degree (BS/MS/Doc), NJ PT license, BLS/ARC-AHA, and CPR certification. Prior travel therapy and EMR proficiency preferred. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active New Jersey Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is required
- Client requires experience with geriatric patient populations and post-acute care documentation standards
- Demonstrated ability to perform mobility, balance, therapeutic exercise, and fall risk assessments
- Current CPR certification required
- Preferred: prior travel therapy experience and proficiency with electronic medical record systems commonly used in long-term care settings
