Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist needed for hospital outpatient rehabilitation in Trenton, MO. Provide patient evaluation, development and implementation of plans of care, ongoing reassessments, and discharge documentation in a mostly outpatient therapy/rehabilitation setting within a hospital. Candidate should have 1 year of clinical experience (2 years preferred), Missouri PT license, and BLS certification. Duties include using standard equipment (gait belt, walkers, crutches, lifts, hospital bed, oxygen, slings, sliding boards) and performing body mechanics and pain/functional assessments, strength testing, and vital signs monitoring. Assignment features 5x8-hour days (08:00–16:30) with a daily census around 8 patients/8 visits, at a hospital facility offering benefits and housing support for travel clinicians. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Missouri Physical Therapy license
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (2 years strongly preferred)
- Experience in outpatient settings (acute care and SNF preferred)
- Required documentation skills: assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, short-term and long-term goal setting, discharge documentation
- Experience with gait belt, rolling walker, standard walker, crutches, Hoyer lift, sit-to-stand lift, hospital bed, supplemental oxygen, shoulder slings, sliding boards, prosthetic-related care
- Preferred skills: body mechanics assessment, pain assessment, strength testing, vital signs monitoring
- Geriatrics and orthopedics patient populations preferred
- Previous charge or lead experience preferred
