Job Summary
Evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and document care in compliance with state practice acts and federal guidelines. Support student learning and professional development while providing outpatient care to progress patients toward functional goals and discharge. Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and organizational core values to ensure a safe clinical environment. Maintain active Florida licensure and participate in performance improvement initiatives or competency programs as assigned. This assignment includes a 5x8 schedule with comprehensive benefits including medical, retirement, paid housing, and travel reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Florida Physical Therapist license
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Experience performing comprehensive PT evaluations
- Experience developing individualized treatment plans
- Experience documenting using approved formats in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to provide outpatient care
- Demonstrated ability to progress patients toward functional goals and discharge
- Ability to supervise and mentor students when assigned
- Level 2 background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Previous outpatient clinic experience
- Experience with functional outcome measures
- Experience with letters of medical necessity
- Experience with charge entry
