Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Bessemer, AL. Primary specialty is Physical Therapy with responsibilities to help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions, including gait training, transfers, fall-risk assessment, and the use of therapeutic modalities. Requires a Physical Therapy degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral) from an APTA-approved program, and active Alabama licensure or eligibility. BLS may be required. Willingness to float to other nearby facilities as needed; assignment opportunities include direct hire, temp-to-hire, and travel contracts with a comprehensive benefits package and housing/travel support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Alabama state license or eligibility to obtain Alabama licensure prior to the assignment start
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred
- Experience with gait training, transfers, fall risk assessment, and therapeutic modalities preferred
- Willingness to float to other nearby facilities when requested
