Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist in Home Health in Renton, WA. Evaluate patients’ functional status, develop plans of care, and provide physical therapy services across the South King County service area. Responsibilities include documenting progress notes and plan-of-care within state timelines, reporting evaluation outcomes to the nurse supervisor, educating patients and families about the plan of care, and participating in staff meetings and in-service education. The role may involve supervising PTAs and home health aides per policy, with occasional weekend rotations and flexibility for observed holidays; mileage is reimbursed between visits. Travel to patient homes and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Current Physical Therapy license in Washington state or a valid compact license granting privilege to practice in Washington
- Current BLS/CPR certification from AHA or ARC
- Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle
- Home health experience preferred
- Experience with HomeCare HomeBase preferred
- Ability to complete patient evaluations and develop plan of care within state-specific guidelines
- Ability to travel and visit patients across South King County service area
- Must be able to participate in occasional weekend rotation and potential availability on observed holidays as needed
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree
- May supervise PTAs and home health aides per agency policy and state regulation
