Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist needed for hospital assignment in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include assessing, treating, and planning therapeutic interventions as required by PT discipline for an acute-care inpatient population. Typical shift is Days (08:00–17:00) with rotating weekends. Unit: 444 beds with staffing including a charge therapist, three PTs, and two PTAs. Requirements: active Texas PT license, BLS certification, and a degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor/Master/Doctoral) from an APTA-approved program. Experience in an acute hospital setting and familiarity with inpatient EMR workflows (Meditech preferred) are preferred. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Texas Physical Therapy license
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute hospital setting preferred
- Experience with hospital equipment and inpatient EMR workflows (Meditech preferred)
- APTA graduate status preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekends as required by unit schedule
