Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing facility in Lewistown, MO provides evaluation, treatment, and documentation of patient progress in a long-term care rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include developing and adjusting individualized plans of care, performing manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, ambulation training, wound care, and use of assistive devices; collaborating with an interdisciplinary team; participating in care conferences; and completing regulatory documentation and treatment minute tracking. The role may involve supervising PT assistants, rehab aides, and students when applicable. Compliance with APTA and state practice acts, and ethics is required. Work schedule is mostly M-F, 8-hour days with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM; 100% housing and travel/license reimbursement benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level to experienced PTs accepted; new graduates are acceptable with Level II clinical experience
- Minimum 1 year of PT clinical experience required
- Experience in long-term care or rehab required
- Active Missouri state license required; Compact license accepted
- Ability to perform wound care, therapeutic exercise, ambulation training, manual techniques, and use of assistive devices
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and accurate treatment minute recording
- Ability to supervise PT assistants, rehab aides, and students when applicable
- Adherence to APTA and state practice acts, professional code of conduct, and ethics
- BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC
- Prior experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care preferred
- M-F, 8 hour days; start before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM; occasional weekend hours if holidays fall on weekdays
