Job Summary
Travel Physical Therapist position in Houston, TX for a contract assignment in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include assessing, treating, and planning therapeutic interventions within the PT discipline, with a typical day shift (08:00–17:00) and a patient ratio around 1:12 across a 444-bed unit. Requires active Texas PT license, BLS, and 1+ year acute hospital experience; Meditech EMR experience preferred. Opportunities include direct hire, temp-to-hire, and travel contracts with recruiter support, housing and travel/license reimbursement where available. Requires rotating weekends and professional attire (navy blue scrubs). The role is travel-based with locations in Houston and The Woodlands, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Texas Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute hospital setting preferred
- Experience working with standard hospital equipment and inpatient EMR workflows (Meditech preferred)
- APTA graduate status preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekends as required by unit schedule
- Professional dress per unit guidelines: navy blue clinical scrubs
