Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy services for patients recovering from injuries and managing chronic conditions in home health settings. Perform clinical assessments to determine service appropriateness, then develop, document, and revise plans of care and progress notes. Provide treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic conditions while instructing patients and families on transfer techniques and safe device use. Order and adapt rehabilitative equipment to meet patient and home environment needs, applying infection control and universal precautions throughout care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and accept assignments consistent with education and competence. Requires a B.S. in Physical Therapy, current WV license, CPR certification, and 1-2 years of acute care or rehab experience. Assignment runs May 2026 to August 2026 with local travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association approved program, or equivalent entry-level degree in Physical Therapy
- Current State Physical Therapist license in WV or ability to obtain prior to start
- Proof of current CPR certification
- Current driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Vehicle insurance
- 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting
- Experience with durable medical equipment
- Experience with ordering rehabilitative equipment
- Ability to perform home assessments
- Ability to adapt equipment to home limitations
- Ability to perform prolonged standing
- Ability to perform walking
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Ability to perform bending
- Ability to perform pushing
- Ability to perform pulling
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Ability to travel locally
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English
