Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Evaluate posture, gait, balance, coordination, and strength to develop treatment plans that promote mobility and independence for residents in a long-term care environment. Lead and guide delivery of physical therapy services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Apply clinical judgment to assess function and implement individualized treatment plans while restoring mobility and independence. This 8-hour day assignment requires a valid Missouri PT license, APTA-accredited degree, and one year of recent experience with a preference for long-term care leadership. Candidates may float to nearby facilities as needed. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Valid, unrestricted Missouri PT license or compact privilege to practice in Missouri at start of assignment
- Minimum 1 year of recent PT experience
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws and guidelines pertaining to long-term care
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience leading or directing PT services in a long-term care setting
- Experience with mobility, fall reduction, and ADL-focused treatment planning
