Job Summary
Evaluate patients using formal and informal measures, develop goal-specific treatment regimes, and document plans of care while coordinating schedules with clinical staff. Provide skilled interventions to help patients recover from injury and manage chronic conditions, delegating tasks to physical therapist assistants and aides. Update treatment plans based on physician orders and facility policies. Requires an active Michigan license, BLS certification, and experience with PT assistants. Schedule includes a 40-hour guarantee from 09:00 to 17:30 with no weekends. This role is based at a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation department in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, where candidates must reside outside the facility's 100-mile radius.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Michigan Physical Therapist license
- Outpatient physical therapy experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS (AHA)
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
- Candidates' permanent address must be outside the facility's 100-mile radius
- Work history and skills checklist current to within one year, pertinent to physical therapy
