Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care while developing appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilize standardized assessments, evidence-based practice, and therapeutic modalities to provide documentation of treatment, progress notes, and comprehensive discharge summaries. Supervise and support PT assistants, rehab aides, and students while participating in patient care conferences, utilization review, and required trainings. Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics. Requires Missouri state PT license, minimum one year of experience, and BLS certification. 8-hour shifts in a 5x8 pattern with 100% paid housing and travel reimbursement available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA
- Active Missouri state PT license
- Compact license
- 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
- Long term care (LTC) or skilled nursing/rehab experience
- Level II clinical experience
- Ability to perform standardized assessments
- Ability to develop plans of care
- Ability to document per regulatory requirements
- Ability to accurately record treatment minutes
- Ability to provide wound care
- Ability to use therapeutic modalities
- Ability to use manual techniques
- Ability to use ambulation training
- Ability to use assistive devices
- Ability to supervise and support PT assistants
- Ability to supervise and support rehab aides
- Ability to supervise and support students
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in long term care or skilled nursing facility settings
- Experience with electronic documentation systems
