Job Summary
Assess and treat orthopedic and neurological patients in an outpatient clinic setting, formulating measurable goals and reassessing progress per departmental policies. Utilize common outpatient equipment to identify and recommend appropriate devices to patients and families while managing chronic conditions and recovery from injuries. Work full-time days from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with adjusted hours on Thursday to accommodate an early Friday close. Requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, an active Texas license, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Doctorate
- Degree from an accredited physical therapy program approved by APTA
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license (LPT)
- Compact license holders valid in TX
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Experience treating outpatient orthopedic patients
- Ability to independently assess and treat a variety of patient types in an outpatient setting
- Ability to formulate measurable goals
- Ability to reassess progress per departmental policies
- Familiarity with common outpatient equipment
- Ability to identify and recommend appropriate devices to patients and families
- Full time employment
