Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Job Summary
Conduct home health physical therapy, evaluating patients in residential settings and developing measurable treatment plans. Perform diagnostic tests on muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability while implementing appropriate treatment modalities. Document objective analytic patient records, provide patient and family education, and guide PT assistants, aides, and students. Maintain an active Massachusetts license and current BLS certification. Requires Bachelor's through Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy and reliable transportation for travel to patient homes within the assigned geographic area. Includes 40-hour standard weekly schedule for a 13-week assignment with floating requirements across the agency service area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC
- Experience in home health physical therapy
- Ability to evaluate patients in home settings and develop measurable treatment plans
- Ability to perform diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests and implement appropriate treatment modalities
- Documentation skills for objective analytic patient records, patient/family education, and interdisciplinary communication
- Comfort providing guidance to PT Assistants, aides, and students
- Reliable transportation for travel to patient homes within assigned geographic area
Desired Qualifications
- Specialist certification for PT Clinical Specialist roles
- Prior experience with pediatric and adult populations
